The USACS Health Post Primary Care Emergency Medicine Fellowship recognizes that learners come from various backgrounds and have all had a different experience during their training. To address the various styles of learning we approach teaching with multiple modalities.
The first 2 weeks of the Fellowship are dedicated to a Series of Fellowship Courses including:

- Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics
- Central Line Insertion Course
- Surgical Anatomy Skills Lab
- Suturing Skills Lab
- EPIC Electronic Medical Record Introduction
- Brookwood Baptist Health Patient Care Protocols
- Introduction to Alabama EMS Protocols
- Introduction to Birmingham Regional EMS Protocols
- EMS Ride a Longs
The fun part of the Fellowship involves Seminars given off site.
- Gunshot Wound
- Trauma Conference
- Snake Bite
- Stroke Conference
- Diversity in Medicine
- Sports Medicine
Weekly Didactic Lectures given over 4 hours on Thursday Morning provide the structure to the year of learning. This lecture series meets the requirement set by the American Academy of Emergency Physicians.

- Toxicology Series
- Radiology Series
- Point of Care Ultrasound
- Pediatric Simulation
Workshops given throughout the year give hands on experience on a variety of topics:

- Cardiac Surgery Advanced Life Support
- Urology Skills
- Orthopedic Splints
Each Fellow will be provided a subscription to EMRap to insure your commutes to work are productive learning times as well.
